Home / News 5.2008 Hey Folks! Thanks for visiting JP's site! JP is headed back into Hyde Street Studios this May 2008 to record the final 6 songs on his upcoming full-length album coming out this Fall 2008. This past Summer, JP spent 1 week out in Milwaukee w/ singer-songwriter Willy Porter. JP recorded several tracks in San Francisco at Hyde Street Studios w/ engineer Jaime Durr prior to his visit with Mr. Porter. He then did his vocal and guitar work while hangin' in Milwaukee. JP then shipped off to Brooklyn, NY to record violinist Jenny Scheinman at Mark Spencer's (Son Volt) recording studio. Two tracks feature Scheinman's haunting violin work! San Francisco up and comer Josh Fix spent some time with JP in the studio, laying down piano parts. The gang is laying down tracks this May, and the album is set to be independently released in the fall. The full-length will feature performances by Jenny Scheinman on violin, James Nash of The Waybacks on mandolin, Steve Adams of ALO on acoustic bass, beatboxer phenomenon Kid Beyond, Josh Fix on piano, Gowain Matthews (Ben Lee) on slide guitar, Ashley Davis (Lord of the Dance) on vocals, Corrine West on vocals, Sam Bevan (David Grisman) on acoustic bass, David Phillips (Norah Jones, Charlie Hunter) on pedal steel, Micha Patri (Jacqui Naylor, Pyeng Threadgill) on drum kit, Jason Parmar on tabla, Eliyahu Sills on flute and Noah Reid on electric guitar.
